The "Tony Waters 32 Roadster": Now owned by Doug Edwards, whose father Chuck Edwards partnered with Tony Waters in the original build of the car.
Doug writes to us : I have contacted them, received my packet and returned my invitation with a "yes". I now have a deadline to complete the car. It had been sitting since 1958. My father Chuck Edwards purchased the car in 1956 from Ernie Hashim and he partnered up with Tony Waters (who had the motor) Jim Sughrue and Jerry Smith (I think it was Jerry). They raced the 32 Roadster for the next 2 years at Bonneville and other dry lakes setting records at those events. After their 200+ MPH feat at Bonneville in 1958 Tony took the motor out to use in a drag boat. The roadster was stored until a few years ago. It is undergoing a rebuild with plans to leave the exterior of the car as it was. It is sporting a newer motor/transmission combo but with the hood down the exhaust exits through the openings cut in the hood when they were running a flat head.
