This is what the coupe looked like in 1983 the day I picked it up and took it home. In spite of what these pictures show, it was a “complete” car as all of the parts were there. Notice the location of the rear end and fenders

This is a good view of the 48 Lincold Split Front I-beam. I added the GM Rotors. Other than that, it remains as Nelson built it.
This is the ‘49 Ford Differental hanging from the rear cross member in it’s custom cradle. The ‘48 Lincoln inboard drums & backing plates are removed in this photo.
This is the home-made Rear Suspension. As the rear required a lift of over 2 inches I replaced the coil springs with coil over shocks, 8 sets of bearings per side... this is about 1998.
